Practical effects take longer and is more expensive and can’t be adjusted in the edit, so you need a great director and team. But oh man it’s so much better. Imagine this scene using cgi even from today? Just wouldn’t hold up. Especially if it was cgi from 1993. Nolan’s Batman trilogy will hold up because it’s as practical as possible.

What sort of phrasing is that? T rex head + cgi? It's an animatronic model built by stan winston for the storm sequence, and there was a cgi model for the rest of the scenes.
